Polish Catholic priest, prelate, national-democratic activist, member of the Polish National Committee. From 1915 he was the parish priest of All Saints’ Parish in Warsaw at Grzybowski Square. During World War II, the parish was located within the borders of the Warsaw ghetto created by the Germans, and Godlewski himself helped many Jewish escapees from the ghetto, including Wanda and Krzysztof Zamenhof.
