Recalling the memory of those who were affected by the tragic events of the occupation period is one of the research priorities of the Museum of Poles Saving Jews, so we are all the more pleased to announce that the publication “Losy Żydów z Markowej” by Kamil Kopera, Research and Documentation Specialist at the Museum of Poles Saving Jews, will soon be available for sale!
Thanks to field research, archival inquiries, and contacts made with the descendants of Jewish emigrants from Markowa, the author managed to obtain unknown and, above all, previously unused source material. This made it possible to outline the history of the Jewish community of Markowa over the centuries, and in several cases to establish the genealogy of entire families. This book is a contribution to further research and publications about the Jews of Markowa.
