Eleonora Goleń was hiding a Jewish girl, Anna Parzyczewska, who was about 12 years old. In December 1942, as a result of a denunciation, the Gestapo arrested both women. They were detained in a prison in Jasło where first the Jewish girl was murdered, and a month later Eleonora was shot in a public execution.
