Laying flowers and candles at the War Cemetery of the Victims of Hitlerism 1939 – 1945 in Jagiello-Niechciałki as part of the National Day of Remembrance of Poles saving Jews under German occupation

On the eve of the National Day of Remembrance of Poles saving Jews under German occupation, the memory of the Jewish victims of the tragedy that took place on March 24, 1944 in Markowa, was commemorated. Flowers and candles were laid at the War Cemetery of Victims of Hitlerism 1939 – 1945 in Jagielle-Niechciałki near Przeworsk, where Jews from the Goldman, Didner and Gruenfeld families are buried. During the war the Ulmas family from Markowa hepled them.

The ceremony was attended by a delegation consisting of the Head of the Markowa Commune – Mirosław Mac, the President of the Markowa Friends Society – Maria Ryznar-Fołta, and representatives of the Museum of Poles Saving Jews – Katarzyna Nowicka, Promotion and Animation Specialist and Kamil Kopera, Research and Documentation Specialist.
