Polish doctor, second lieutenant and Warsaw insurgent. During the German occupation he organised assistance in the Warsaw Ghetto. In November 1944, he rescued members of the Jewish Combat Organisation: Tuwia Borzykowski, Cywia Lubetkin, Julian Fiszgrund, Zygmunt Warman, Yitzhak Zuckerman and Marek Edelman.
