The first transport of Jews came from Lublin and Lwów. Most Jews from Podkarpacie, including Rzeszów and Przemyśl, were exterminated in Bełżec. From March to December 1942 (with a short interruption), about 350,000 – 400,000 people were murdered in the Bełżec camp.
