First and last names: Stanisław Dudek and Maria Dudek, II° voto Mach, III° voto Majkutowska
Place during the war: Odrzykoń, Podkarpackie Voivodeship (former Lwowskie Voivodeship)
In autumn 1940 Suesman Katz got in touch with Stanislaw and Maria Dudek from Odrzykoń. She asked them to hide her one and a half years’ old granddaughter. Stanislaw Dudek and Franciszek Filip picked up the child in the forest near Odrzykoń. The Dudek family sheltered and baptized the girl giving her the name of Cecylia. The Krosno Gestapo suspected Cesia of Jewish descent but repeated medical tests and examining knowledge of prayers came out happily for her. Cesia survived the war and in 1948 she moved to Israel under the name of Cipora Beer. In 1960 she married Shimon Reem, now she has four children and twelve grandchildren. In 2009 Cypi Reem visited Odrzykoń and she met with the Dudek family.
On June 7, 2010 Maria and Stanislaw Dudek were posthumously awarded the medal of the Righteous Among the Nations.
