CODE OF CONDUCT

1. Each visitor shall be obliged to comply with this Code of Conduct.
2. If the Code is not complied with, the Museum reserves the right to cancel the visit and immediately request the visitors to leave the Museum.
3. The permanent and temporary exhibitions can be visited either individually or in organized groups.
4. The number of participants in an organized group may not exceed 30. Organized groups exceeding 30 participants shall be divided into smaller groups.
5. In case of groups prior booking is required – to schedule your visit, please contact the Museum’s Office by e-mail: sekretariat@muzeumulmow.pl or by phone: +48 17 224 10 15.
6. For entry into the permanent and temporary exhibitions, an admission ticket must be obtained at the Museum’s desk.
7. For entry into events held at the area of permanent and temporary exhibitions, an admission ticket must be obtained at the Museum’s desk.
8. In exceptional situations related to the events held at the Museum, as well as to safety of property and persons staying at the facility, the Museum may be closed to visitors or its opening hours may be changed. If possible, relevant notification shall be made by phone (in case of visits booked for organized groups) and posted at the muzeumulmow.pl website.
9. The Museum’s Director may by way of exception take a decision to admit visitors or event participants free of charge, if the event is of a promotionally and marketing nature and ultimately contributes to the pursuit of the objectives related to the Museum’s commercial activity.
10. Guided visits are possible in Polish or in English, subject to the guide’s availability and prior booking.
11. In the area of the permanent and temporary exhibitions, no more than 100 persons may stay at the same time.
12. Visitors shall always follow the instructions given by the guide and the Museum’s staff.
13. Taking photos at the exposition area is allowed if it does not disrupt free movement of visitors, damage the exhibits (prolonged exposure to flash), cause harm to other visitors (protection of personal rights), and if the footage is not used for commercial purposes.
14. Due to special character of the place and comfort of other persons, the visitors are requested to remain silent and comply with general standards of behaviour at public places.
15. Each visitor shall observe the following security standards and comply with the instructions given by the Museum’s staff.
16. The interior and surroundings of the Museum are monitored.
17. Chaperons are responsible for the conduct of the group’s members during the visit.
18. Large baggage, backpacks, bags, umbrellas and outerwear shall be left in the cloakroom. The Museum assumes no responsibility for safety of visitors’ belongings.
19. Persons who are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs shall not be admitted.
20. It is prohibited to have or consume food or beverages, to smoke or use an open flame.
21. Carrying any potentially hazardous objects, such as weapons or sharp tools, is prohibited.
22. No pets are allowed, except for guide dogs.
23. Any emergencies shall be reported to the Museum’s staff, whereupon their instructions shall be strictly observed.
24. If evacuation or rescue operation is ordered, persons staying at the Museum shall immediately leave the building by the nearest emergency exit and strictly follow the instructions given by the Museum’s staff.
